Description: The Hostess House is a lovely 2 story 5 bedroom home with historic charm overlooking East Penobscot Bay that has had the Rockefellers, Duponts, Vanderbilt's, and royalty from Europe pass through its doors. It is located on the coastal waters of Brooksville, Maine, about 2 1/2 hours north of Portland. It has a large front porch, fireplace, three bathrooms, queen beds, access to Walker Pond Beach and a private ocean beach on Eggemogin Reach, and that log cabin feel of days gone by. 

Frederick and Lillian Littlefield built the first part of this house - kitchen, dining room and bedroom with a fireplace - in the late 1920's. The Hostess House soon became the place where Lillian served as the hostess for guests to Camp Robin Hood, which they started together in 1928

The camp counts amount its alumnae the children of industrial leaders, movie stars, professional athletes, and royalty from England, Italy, France, and the Middle East and South America. When camper's parents visited, they inevitably came to the Hostess House as part of their visit.   

This is one of the most beautiful areas in the world, with access to a freshwater lake and the ocean, views of the Camden Hills, historic three-masted schooners and the world's best lobster. Across the street is the Oakland House, which provides excellent food for all occasions. Nearby are quaint fishing Villages, artist communities and the world famous Acadia National Park. 

If you have never visited this relaxing area of the world, you owe it to yourself to vacation here. You will never forget your stay. 

Availability: The Hostess House is available on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. The season is between May 1st and October 15.

Description: The Hideaway is a lovely large cottage on Abenaki Loop Road, Herrick's, Road, in Brooksville, Maine, less than 2 1/2 hours from Portland. It has a view of Eggemoggin Reach, and only a 2 minute walk to a nice Dock with views of Pumpkin Island and Deer Isle. It is also only a short walk to a beautiful ocean beach with stunning views of the Camden Hills, Cape Rosier, dozens of islands, and so much more. It is also only a short walk to a beautiful beach on Walkers Pond. It also has access to 2 kayaks and 1 canoe. The cottage has has 3 bedrooms, a huge enclosed front porch for easy relaxing, 2 bathrooms, and a small kitchen with a full refrigerator and electric stove. It has a very large living room area to relax and visit, and is in a private setting. It is an easy drive to the infamous Mount Desert Island, and Acadia National Park. It is relaxing living at its best, in one of the most beautiful areas of the world.

Availability: The Retreat is available on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. The season is between May 1st and October 15th.  Shorter stays may also be possible.
